December 2001.
In the cold atmosphere would be my time frozen - so would be my memories, drifting with the last ship into the endless fog.
I felt empty, I felt hopeless - however my legs and mind, didn't refuse to turn back to the station and walk. Snow cracking under my feet, broken pieces of glass from the bottles that fell and spilled, sooner it's liquid drifting dry under the thick layers of snow.

9:30
From what I remembered at last, I was alone, waking up in the middle of the office. I probably felt asleep sorting the files.
Everyone was, however, gone.
I didn't see a single sight of a person I knew. Everything was dark, the lights were dim.
The image of the ship appeared in my mind. I remembered, that I've missed it. It was on purpose, though. They need a person to stay here for a few nights to watch over the place. They'll return shortly if there won't be any issues.
Countless halls, now empty. I could explore with endless possibilities of encountering something I probably shouldn't.
Mysteries, hidden files...The cameras didn't work, or were blank - probably non-functional during the ship tour.
I saw multiple beans cans, instant noodles packages, 2 liter bottles and other supplies suitable for survival on your own.
I could last for a while with this.

12:50
I took a short nap - my mind felt foggy at the understanding of being absolutely alone. All to support me - a radio, multiple rooms, and barely functioning lights.
They said they'll use economy towards electricity - so I should always have at least 6 batteries to replace in my flashlight, in case the lights go out again.
Speaking of flashlights, it's in the office I probably shouldn't enter. My boss spends his time in there - but this time, I saw him on the ship along with the crew.
Cameras were off, anyway. The worst that could happen is him suddenly rushing in and yelling - which is impossible, and is a plot of my imagination mixtured with paranoia.

13:10
I finally sat up on my bed, taking on my boots and heading off to the mentioned room. The only sound being my footsteps, and a barely heard noise of static nearby - probably due to my radio losing connection from time to time.
It wasn't too long to walk to his office - although it was dark in the halls, due to lack of lights, and windows.
I felt slightly light-headed. I stood up way too quick. What rush am I in?
I gripped my shirt, fidgeting with the edges.
The worst feeling came - I felt watched once I took a step in his office.
The door creaked open, as I saw the flashlight right on his table - of course, stepping further in.
Not too long before the door shut itself.

19:00
The radio played Silent Night over and over again. It's been hours.
Well-heard humming came from under the doors, raspy, yet oddly soothing at times.
It will be countless hallways,
it will be countless hours.
