Salutations!! :3
I had first been introduced to twilight at around age 3, even then I knew I absolutely loved it! After years of plainly watching all four of the movies, I got bored and began researching. I then found out that there was an entire book series behind it. In awe I decided to make an effort to read them all at some point!                                                           I've always felt that twilight itself was such a beautiful creation and representation of when a human loses control and is thrown to the wolves (and vampires.)
"About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him — and I didn't know how dominant that part might be — that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him." -Bella Swan, p. 195
Twilight is what it means to be truly vulnerable and give everything including your humanity away for love. I feel like the addition of midnight sun into the series is great because you're given Edward's Pov on issues or extreme parts of the book that upset Bella. Not only that but Edward has decades more knowledge and experiences which could be why he is so hyper focused on details and trying read Bella's thoughts.
Bella's depression in new moon was upsetting and understandable, book version of Charlie handled it terribly. Which I think it's funny as in midnight sun, Edward hears zero thoughts from Charlie that just shows how dimwitted he can be honestly. Charlie was not a good dad. Edward leaving her showed off how truly dependent she is on him even when Jacob stepped in it didn't feel the same. The discussion of imprinting is just plain weird quite literally. Why was a newborn and two year old imprinted on by adults?
Although many characters can be seen as violent and aggressive, I feel like it was learned and needed in order to survive as vampires such as the Volutiri coven, without such rules it'd be unbelievably hard to not be noticed. If Bella had become a vampire before her daughter was born, the horrifying "baby" ricotta cheese would have never existed.
As vampires stop in development at whatever point they were turned in. While this is coming from a girl who absolutely despises Renesmee, she really doesn't harm the existence of other vampires. One death by the volutiri that I believe was somewhat unnecessary was Bree tanner's it truly provided nothing besides proving that the coven is the quote "bad guys." I believe the immortal child rule is needed because they don't truly know right from wrong, and they don't understand how to control their thirst. Or maybe I'm just a voltiri defender haha
 Live, laugh, Aro,
discussion of Life and Death: I feel like this was such extraordinary choice to just completely gender swap the twilight characters, and I love how it shows how different they would be. However, Stephenie Meyer's reasons for writing this reimagined book are confusing, I'm just happy that there's a new perspective of our favorite characters.
I've recently gotten the twilight illustrated guide and now have the ENTIRETY of the series!
"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb..." he murmured. I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled to the word.
"What a stupid lamb," I sighed.
"What a sick, masochistic lion."Â -Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, p. 274
