Rant abt racism/colorism at my school

So if yall don’t already know, i am a PoC (Person of color) and i go to a predominantly white school and i’ve always felt alienated from the rest of my black classmates because for some reason they love to make fun of the fact that i’m mixed race or whatever (my skin is the same shade as george washington lmao) even though other than the color of my skin/hair, i look just like anyone else. it also doesn’t help that i do « white people shit »(?) like skating, playing piano, and dressing alt. i mean it doesn’t really hurt my feelings it’s just annoying. but anyways im gonna try and wear my hair down today cuz i normally have it slicked back in a bit and i dont wanna get traction alopecia xd. but im kinda scared cuz the last times i did that the white kids called me ice spice because obviously any lightskin black person with an afro is ice spice (my hair is literally pink so i don’t see the logic) but yeah. also what is it with black men and tearing down black women? like i’m friends with a few black guys and whenever another girl comes up in a conversation they never seem to have anything nice to say. like i’ll just mention them and it’s like they can’t help themselves to tear down every single detail of that girl ex: «  she wears too much makeup «  her hair is damaged «  «  how is she fat and skinny at the same time »  and whenever i call them out they act like im the one that’s in the wrong 🤦‍♂️. and the blatant racism i see against indian ppls at my school is insane but ill talk about that later. if you read this far thanks for reading and feel free to drop a comment

what?? its amazing that ur staying true to urself despite everyone else's opinions and its so annoying when people think its okay to tear down others (especially women) like its no big deal, its like theres an unspoken standard they hold women to thats completely unrealistic and toxic as if the pressure of looking a certain way and beauty standards arent enough
good on you for calling them out!!!

THIS!! and i remember one tiktoker saying something like « when people say that they love black hair styles, they are only talking about the ideal perfection of that style, such as hobie brown with wicks » and that really stuck with me. i’m on the bus to school pray for me
