1) it's important to keep color in mind, completely monochrome outfits look odd, try to have an Accent colour even if it is just black or a few jewelry pieces. -- counterintuitively, too many colours looks miss matchy. Try to just use 2 or 3 colours, one of them ideally being black, white, cream, silver or gold.
2) a good coat --- when it gets cold, your coat can ruin your fit, but getting one that is beautiful and elegant will make you want to wear it more. Styles of coats that would suit you vary from person so make sure to do your research for your body type. -- my personal favorite is a princess coat because I like to wear frilly dresses.
3) FORGET TRENDS! You will never build your style if you keep focussing on what is trendy, when buying your clothes, think about what YOU like not what you've seen on other people, don't buy something if you think it doesn't represent you.
4) fast fashion is UGLY. Stop buying from shein and temu & aliexpress, not only does it fund child labour but the clothes look ugly, everyone can tell where you bought them from, its not good quality & it's also bad for the environment.
5) texture is important. If your textures don't match it can completely ruin your outfit. But don't be afraid to play around with textures, as long as it's not denim (professional denim hater here)
6) BLING. In my personal opinion, the best place to look for accessories and jewelry to elevate your look is charity shops and vintage shops. You might be lucky enough to find something cute, I mean there are literally 750 Oxfams in Britain alone, so you're technically bound to find something. PS. Mining enough gold for a wedding band produces approximately TWENTY TONS of waste!!! Also, cyanide from the process can also contaminate the local water supply..!!
So yeah. Please try to buy vintage jewelry. ♡
7) shopping online 🛍 make sure if you're buying something online that is expensive you are 100% sure that it will fit you, most clothing sites will have a guide to tell you just what they mean by "small" or "large" because it's different depending on the site.
If you're totally in love with a piece from an American site but they REFUSE to ship to your country, do not panic : Click me! They will received your product then forward them on to you :) it can get expensive tho so make sure it's something you're head over heals for.
Okay that's it for now :) I might add more if I get the time :) thank you for reading my dolls
