Is beautty subjective?

I've been thinking about the topic since I had to write an essay for my ethics class. In it, I had to present arguments in favor and against the question, "Does beauty matter in the world?". For me it's interesting, I think society has been getting better in the whole aspect of the subjectivity of beauty, yet it's been little tiny steps.

I personally think beauty is more objective than subjective, mostly because of the indoctrination that has been imposed in society since colonization; factors like racism, colonization, eurocentrism, sexism, patriarchy, religion, homophobia, etc. have been ruling the world and how we perceive a lot of things.

People will indeed and must have different preferences in beauty, but I think it doesn't make it exactly subjective, I think beauty has been indoctrinated to a point where the different things we find attractive are still in some type of tag or another type of standard, since most people tend to find the same types of things visually pleasing, even if there are changes in what we find attractive, these end up being minimal and within general standards, it's not uncommon to see or have likings out of the common or "normal", but it's in such a little percentage that it's not enough to consider it entirely subjective.

This are my thoughts right now, I'm just 16 so I might be completely wrong, please tell me what you think about it! My opinion is mostly based on my own opinion about subjectivity, I don't think something is entirely subjective just because they're exceptions, but I might be wrong!

If certain standards are widespread due to social imposition, they reflect collective human opinions rather than universal, unchanging truths. The beauty standards may give the illusion of objectivity, but fundamentally, they are still subject to the influences of history, culture, and power, making them subjective at their core.

It’s hard for me to say whether beauty is mostly objective or subjective because the two are interconnected(ㆁωㆁ)
