Hi this isn't like a structured blog, I just write what I want. I'll preface that most of this is unserious or a squib I just need somewhere to write down my thoughts. I want to review things

ஐ LOVE YOU DOWN ஐ 2007 REMIX ഇ
My attitude toward this video is one of two counterpoles: 1. voyeuristic and in search of a fujoshi fantasy or 2. unsure if I'm even allowed to be present, of different dimension and temporality, in all these acts of close-lipped tenderness. Either way, I'm probably due for a wellness check… The preset Adobe Flash dissolve transitions and the uncropped DeviantArt sourced images are everything laughable about the early 10s, but somehow in this video it plays so much like a string of loamy memories that I find myself uncaring of its kitschiness. The song opens with a flashing, bowing drone that moves you so far but never itself progresses; everything is just so still against INOJ's whispered adagio. INOJ covered Ready for the World's 1983 Let Me Love You Down, and Elysia Crampton later rasped down the cover's fragmented UK bass beats by way of her crystalline production, like Simichrome on uncoated metal. Despite all these renditions, the lyrical message preserved a dirty, forbidden love and a resistance to the collective. If you must know, no one else matters, neither you nor I—whatever we find disgusting or disgustingly beautiful, has no relevance.

Everything is flawlessly captured here—Destiny's Child, the earmark of 90s soul and R&B superimposed against the atmosphere, unaware of their own divinity. It's weird what this can make me feel and do. My only semblance is that this sounds like several rounds of vanilla sex between crazily short refractory periods. Favorite track: close2thasun.
