Welcome! Small talk on Twilight.

Hello! My name is Emily, I wanted to give anyone who is reading this a warm welcome to my blog. I hope to write about a variety of topics from media (TV shows, movies, music, etc.). It'll be nice to write things out. It's been a long time since I've actually typed up anything. 

Currently I am having a marathon of the Twilight Saga, which I am aware of the controversy behind it. The Saga is a comfort for me in a way, I saw the movies when I was younger, so I feel more drawn to them. But I have taken time to hear from the actual Quileute people. Which is something I feel is necessary for enjoyers of the Saga to do. Unfortunately, the Quileute people were belittled and used in an extremely insensitive way. They were dehumanized, painted to be creeps or abusers further damaging people's perception of native people. Years after these people haven't seen any benefits/help from the movies, which is devastating. So, I leave you with a link to the Quileute Tribe Website. Take some time to read their actual story, let them be heard.
