New DnD Character: The Haunted Bard

Some friends and I are making a dnd campaign together, and I'm finally getting my chance to play as my angsty slutty bard/rogue with a super traumatic backstory!! 

He's charismatic and charming, with an incredible ability to sway people in whatever direction he wants. He wears many faces, and knowing which one he has on is a near impossible task. While he may make you believe that you know him, legitimately getting to know him is a feat nobody has been able to achieve. Maybe that will change in the future, who knows!!

While you can pretty much recreate him straight out of the 2024 Players Handbook, he does have a couple of homebrew elements to him, one being his background. I couldn't choose between the Entertainer background, or the Haunted One background, so I decided to combine them in two!

The Haunted Bard

Performance is his livelihood, while also being his mask. The onlookers gaze upon his performance with wonder, admiring the intricate dancing and the moving melodies, but they don't see what lies underneath the surface. Deep down, he's haunted by something terrible, something so dark and so evil that he has no choice but to drown his sorrows underneath the hundreds of watching eyes in the crowd. Performance is his escape, while also being his addiction. As long as he's performing, he won't have to think about what haunts him deep below the surface.
