i like kane and lynch 2 dog days, which is a game that most people probably see as bad and sure as hell was seen that way when it came out in 2010
but it's different to most games
it is aggressively cynical and ugly, the two main characters are perfect definitions of anti-heroes, it's got a hand held camera thing going on so whenever you run there's camera sway (it can be disabled) and there's a chapter called a thousand cuts which I'll let you find out for yourself what happens in it. but i'm not here to go in depth about this game like the funny pyrocynical did in 2022.
i'm here to talk about
the achievement which requires you to beat the game on it's hardest difficulty extreme
now on extreme this game becomes the equivalent of being stabbed with a thousand bladed objects at the same time
your ai partner (kane, then lynch during the final level one way ticket) becomes useless because the enemies have increased health i think, the only good thing is that he can't die at all so you dont have to worry about him
but the enemies mow you down within seconds if you get out of cover and you can't bleed out and have your partner revive you like in the first game (unless your playing co-op) so you basically have to play it safe and rely on headshots
and guess what

I DID IT
by some divine miracle i pulled through over the course of three days if my memories serve me correct and beat this game on extreme
during the final part of one way ticket you have to reach this commercial airliner flight thing so kane and lynch can hijack it and then not have a third game happen ever, the thing is this section is timed and you've got enemies, on normal it's pretty easy because you just have to run and occasionally kill some enemies but on extreme? i can't tell you how you do this because my game bugged out after one or two tries and there were NO enemies whatsoever, meaning i did the section and got my achievement
and bragging rights
and happiness
never again
