My teacher assumed we didn't know slightly big words in our worksheet today

The fact that my teacher assumed that my class would be writing down five or more words that we don't understand in a LOW reading level sheet is crazy. And the fact that he was right about my classroom not knowing a lot of these words is crazier..

We are teenagers I do not understand why my classmates WOULDN'T know these words... It is kind of baffling to hear someone struggle with the small words that they do in my grade, and I'm not even talking about people with dyslexia, these are people in advanced classes and GT.. They just... don't know 😭??  I'm not hating or anything at all it's just like, surprising I guess
