i hate school, who made school, i hope the person who created school dies rn, asap. Because i learn MORE in my fucking ass phone than learning in school. If i were a president I WOULD DELETE SCHOOL. WE WANT VACATION WE NEED PEACE.
The school system should unironically be abolished in its current state. I did the math once, during 12-14 years of school for 8-9 hours daily (depending on bus-times if you decide to count those, as I did, starting from the earliest I've seen to the latest I've seen, it is 7 without bus-times and 8 if the bus doesn't get you first and drops you off last across a rather large, yet low-populated town), you will end up spending anywhere from 17k to 22k hours of your life in there, and you will also waste hundreds of thousands of tax dollars throughout that time, and still get a poorer education than what YouTube or reading books could offer you.
Biggest scam of all time, if you are like me and all your friends go to a different school or are online, then you don't even get to see ur frens at school either, not like that would be worth wasting a minimum of 17k hours. Also, all these numbers are before homework or out-of-school activities, the latter I consider important in cases where the parents are forcing them to do it, such as forcing the child to play a sport. Overall, me no like school, me like book.
They already choose slop over learning, except now, they think they're actually educated because they know basic arithmetic and extremely poor English, along with some other irrelevant stuff.
Don’t downplay education lol, I mean ofc there’s some bad schools, but there’s a lot of decent ones. A lot of the stuff you learn is relevant and to make sure you’re able to function within society. Some of the “irrelevant” stuff you learn is used so that they can build on it and actually teach you relevant stuff.
I've heard the midwestern-US schools are better, but at least over here in southern-US and seemingly in western-US as well from what I have heard from folks I know that live over there, pretty much all of the schools suck. Honestly, just the amount of time and tax money spent on the education, only for it to be outbeat by a parent who put a few hours into researching it, is insane.
No government school should ever be ran as poorly as the average public-school, let alone at enough of a rate where it is not just some singular outlier, but an actual problem that needs to be addressed. The government is very poorly spending the tax dollars it receives on the students, if they aren't just pickpocketing it. And given the fact it also goes on for 12 years minimum, unless you dropout and get a GED at 16, it is almost impossible for me to justify it as a good idea under the current system. Unless you can change how the money is actually used, then good luck fixing the public education system. You can pay teachers more yes, but part of the reason teachers quit is also due to how bad the students act. While they weren't that bad over here, they still clearly need to be properly parented to begin with, and the public-school obviously can't fix that as they aren't the parents, hell, it sometimes seems like they actively avoid even getting kids in *actual* trouble if they don't have to, and I can't blame them at this point.
If they can get their shit together, then maybe I will reconsider whether public-school should even be done to begin with, but almost no one has been well-taught by public-education in America, at least within the past 20~ years. Whereas pretty much every person I have seen who was homeschooled, or private-schooled even, was very well educated, outside of less than 5 people who were basically braindead, although even they would still end up being more intelligent than a surprising amount of the publicly educated kids, and even then, they could still probably teach themselves on their own freetime, and admittedly, are doing rather well regardless.

you’re acting like kids wouldn’t just fill their brains with slop and choose anything else over learning if school didn’t exist lol
