My fascination with religions

Fascinated by religions,

Growing up in an atheist household, I wasn't ever really a part of any religion, the closest thing to a religion I had was a jesus cross hanging on the wall of our living room, and a framed quote that said "Where god works at, luck is at",

But as I got older, I realized that humans usually need something to believe in, whether that's a god, luck, karma or rituals. I was interested in religions since I was 12, admiring them all, their myths, their teachings, after a loved one's death I yearned for a religion, to grasp onto a string of faith in hope to find peace, I have always kind of loved buddhism though, buddhist teachings are the ones that felt most right to me,

Once, I was even close to converting into Islam, but it just felt wrong, it wasn't for me, same with christianity, I didn't feel connected to any of them, unlike with Buddhism, buddhism is my definition of peace, just like other religions to others.

I still love researching and learning about other religions, it feels fascinating to me, each god, prophet and such seems mind blowing to me no matter the religions, it's also fascinating how religions mattered in the past, how religions can shape a person growing up

I may be atheist but my love for religions is and has always been there
