You looking for a new game to play? Look no farther than my list of "Certified Good Games." I'll update it from time to time so you might find something here you haven't played before.
(For legal reasons this is not actually a certified list, I also wrote this while half asleep so srry if it's bad lmaoo.)
1. Pathologic
Do you like bizarre 2000's era rpgs about curing a plague in a backwater Russian town? Do you like confusing dialogue that leaves you unsure of how to progress the game? Do you like walking? If you said yes to any of these things, Pathologic Classic HD just might be the game for you!!
It's surprisingly hard to explain this game to people who don't know about it, but trust me it's amazing!!
2. Disco Elysium
How about an rpg where you play as a detective suffering from drug-induced amnesia trying to figure out who you are while solving a murder case? You like making choices? You like reading? If so, Disco Elysium is right up your alley!!
I'd actually recommend going into this game as spoiler free as you can, it makes it so much more fun.
3. Who's Lila?
What about a point-and-click adventure (semi-horror?) game where instead of picking dialogue, you manually control the protagonists facial expressions? You like confusing mysteries? How about EXTRA confusing mysteries?
It is literally impossible to explain this game in a way that properly describes everything I love about it without spoiling everything.
4. Reverse 1999
You like gacha games? Turn based rpgs? Traveling though time trying to figure out how to stop a storm that's making time move backwards? If so, you'll be into Reverse 1999.
I usually try to stay away from the gacha genre, but this game is literally the only exception. While it may be a bit slow to start, it has a super cool story once you get into it and tons of characters! It's also free, so there's that.
5. L.A Noire
How do you feel about detective games? You like solving cases, chasing down and interrogating suspects? How about doing that in late 1940s L.A? If that sounds cool, play L.A Noire!!
The interrogation scenes are my favourite part, but I think most people say that.
6. Flesh, blood, & concrete
You like RPG maker horror (?) games? Exploring creepy, post-soviet, cosmic horror, abandoned flesh buildings with a random little girl? How about dead bodies?... A lot of unspecified dead bodies. If all of this sounds interesting, You will definitely like Flesh, blood, & concrete!
This one is also free and on itch.io, if that at all impacts your interest lmao
(Ik the pic for this one is really weird, but istg it's hard to find official art for rpg maker games :[)
