hello, is this thing on?

yo, uhhhh where to start..

i’m hardly ever active on any social media these days but was always on myspace way back in 06-09 it must have been… i usually had something from slipknot’s self titled album autoplaying in the background with system of a down’s toxicity album cover repeated all over as a wallpaper. it was probably very ugly but it was very me — not really something you can do nowadays anywhere. i was also always on gaming forums, probably talking about dbz or whatever video games i was obsessed with at the time

not to be a boomer and i’m definitely not above silly brainrot humor at times (shoutout instagram reels), but when i think of current internet, i just think of how everything is ai generated slop, how everything is created carefully around how much interactions and views it’ll get, and so on. it’s just a bit much sometimes.. i’m sure we’re all on here because we either miss the old internet or maybe never got to experience it.

either way, this place is pretty neat and i’m glad to see it’s active ^^ people are very expressive and i could look through everyone’s profiles for ages

i’m not sure if i’ll use these blog posts as a way to just let my mind flow or not — i feel like i’m a private person online, but i could probably express myself a bit more
