How to get the windows media player skins in 2024!!

Do you remember/know those windows media player skins from the 2000s?

Examples:

Do you wish to have them now, but don't know how to get them or if you can even still get these cool skins? Well there is still a way to obtain them and I'm gonna give you a pretty easy tutorial on how to get them! :D

Step 1: 

Go to Turn windows features on or off in your settings and make sure windows media player legacy is on (Can be found under media features)

Step 2:

Open Windows media player legacy. (It won't work if you use the newer WMP)

Step 3: 

Open your browser and go to WMP skins archive.

Step 4:

Find a skin that you like and download it.

Step 5:

When you download the skin, WMP will automatically open the skin chooser page (accessed through view)

Step 6:

When the skin finishes downloading, double click the WMZ file. When you see the popup, click 'yes'.

Step 7:

When your skin shows up in skin chooser, make sure your desired skin is selected before clicking 'Apply Skin'

Now you have a fun little media player skin to decorate your desktop with that you can listen to music through!!
