☆ recent horror films I liked ☆

this one was great!! I love anything involving vampires and the classic horror vibes and this film delivered for both. little girls being creepy and adults being freaked out and doing dumb shit while futilely trying not to get killed. the house this took place in was so pretty too like what!!! i loveee old buildings that have secret passages and bookcases that hide hallways. and blood, so much blood lmao. these vampires are definitely quite dramatic and i won't elaborate or i'll spoil.

Freaky

freaky friday but make it a slasher!! they finally did it, they finally did a film where the killer and victim swap bodies. and they did it so well! i loved how there was so much humor in this one when millie was in the killer's body. it really was silly at times, but i love when a film is mixed horror & comedy. i bet the actors had so much fun with this one.

Lisa Frankenstein

another kathryn newton film can you see a pattern? lol. she's really been the horror queen of this year. and set in the 80s as well??? absolutely perfect, because i adore 80s films. the outfits lisa wears and her love for the creepy and unsettling made my goth heart so happy. i just found the ending a bit rushed? i feel like they could have given it some more screentime but it's fine!! so fine. i had a lovely time anyway.

Alien: Romulus

watched this one in cinema and ooooh it was so fun!!! it was insane how these teens just had a space ship at their disposal and the alien(s) were so creepy and gross :D this was definitely a perfect film to see in cinema. wasn't prepared for the bald guy jumpscare tho lmao.
