My mind is foggy, I feel my heart beating faster, and my lungs don't allow air to pass through.

Is this that ending everyone was talking about?

The end that adventure movie heroes go through?

I'm not sure, certainty fled from me years ago

I'm not sure, am I dying, or am I just stopping breathing?

Or maybe I'm just losing consciousness and the senses that bind me to my surroundings.

Maybe I'm just being freed from this shell, this vessel of flesh and blood that chains me to this hell called being a human.
