MG ULTRA REVIEW!!

So MG ULTRA just released last Friday and hooollyyyyy shit is it good. I wanted to go over each of the tracks and just take the time to gush about why each one fckn R0CKS!1!!

1. UNTIL I DIE 8/10

When this came out as the first single, I was one of the pipercels who got to hear it a day early. Shit is still so hype, and makes so much sense in the context of the album. The only reason it isn't ranked higher is because there's even more kickass songs coming up. Speaking of kickass... X_X

2. NU NU META PHENOMENA 10/10

BEST SONG ON THE WHOLE ALBUM AND PROBABLY MY NEW FAVE MACHINE GIRL SONG OF ALL TIME! Pure adrenaline all the way-through, feels like my bones want to come out and dance!! Nearly every second of this track gets in the dirty little grooves of my brain and scratches it until it's smooth like butter!! S* BAD*SS!!

3. SICK!!! 7/10

This album came out during my lowest point of a grave illness (a headcold), so this song really resonated w me. Would go crazy live, I hope they play it when I SEE THEM IN CHICAGO DECEMBER 13TH!!

4. JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN 6/10

It's like... good? I'm sorry this one isn't too memorable...

5. HOT LIZARD 8/10

FOLLOW ME INTO THE SLUUUUDGE!! WHERE F*CTION F*CKS F*CT LIKE NOBODY DOESSSS

6. INNERFACE 6/10

Probably never gonna come back to this but in the context of the album it's a p cool interlude ^-^

7. MOTHERFATHER 6/10

Really fun track, just still feels kinda out of place for this record..? Chorus goes crazy tho

8. ASS2MARS 8/10

W4KE UP 4ND G3T UR 4SS 2 M4RZ! Suuuper fun, like bouncing on a trampoline with moon gravity :DDD

9. CICADAS 10/10

Like if Neon White and BIYAAHEYSF... had a beautiful chirping insect love-child. Fckn PERFECT

10. GRINDHOUSE 10/10

Possibly the cuntiest song MG has ever released?? Makes me feel like the hottest diva in the crackhouse u3u

11. HOUSE OF MIRRORS 9/10

Incredible interlude, I don't think I've ever heard anyone use the cliche radio ad sound as an interlude in an album and it's SO effective.

12. SCHIZODIPSHIT 10/10

This song feels like a spiritual successor to mchngrl vs wlfgrl, which happens to be my favorite song on biya... which makes this an easy 10 in my books. Matt's vocals are soooo crisp and badass in this song too which is a big plus. NO ONE FOOLS ME!! >A<

13. PSYCHIC ATTACK 10/10

Suuuuch a good song. instant Machine Girl Classic right here, pure brain-fucking goodness

Overall I give this album a 9/10 it was total ear candy and I recommend it to anyone who loves the messy electronic sound MG brings to the table. So excited to see these legends in December!!
