Heyy,
I´m pretty new to this website, so I just wanna state that I´m getting to know it and haven´t been doing great figuring things out yet. Anyway,I wanted to ask art-loving people here what you want to do after school? I need advise! I was thinking of learning animation and working in that field, but i just can NOT animate. Could I still go to a school to learn and become an apprentice, or do I really need a bit of common knowledge? I mean, do the animations need to look proper? Or can it be like the average begginer Flip a Clip animation?
Second idea was to do an ápprenticeship´to become an illustrator, but payment would be irregular I fear, and I don´t want to end up homeless. I thought of graphic design, but that just doesn´t seem like something I´d be good at
The issue is, I really can´t do anything other than art. I guess I like literature, too, but my grades are horrid. Sooo, what possibly could I do? Just wanted to hear opinions that aren´t from Google.
Anyway, thanks a bunch beforehand!

hi! I'm an art student right now at a university, I know at least in the USA at normal universities you can start animation at any level! if you want to go to collages just for animation you have to already be quite proficient, but they're a lot more expensive anyway. Same goes for illustration and other art degrees- at a university, you can typically start at any level, at an art specific collage you need to have more background in it.
I would suggest trying animation out! just practice on flipaclip and see how it goes :) I used to want to be an animator but realized I don't have the patience haha. Practice illustration and maybe graphic design as well. I'm specifically going to school to be an art teacher, so I have both my skills in illustration and also a concrete job to fall back on just in case. But you can still have a job in art! you just need to practice and find what you really love, and then focus on that :)
