i've been watching a LOT of detective conan

i get why movie 5 is so high on people's rankings of the movies. i watched it last night, and it was DOPE. loved the action, loved the soundtrack, and enjoyed the emotional beats of the story. it's also the first movie so far that doesn't justify conan's protective knighthood over ran, so yay!

the story arc with haibara was also so so sweet. i do wonder how many times she's going to go through the "friends showing her that she has value contrary to her own belief" thing, but when a belief like that is so ingrained, it's gonna take more than one or two of those for it to really get through her skull. it's a good thing they've got hundreds more episodes and 22 more movies' worth of time to make that happen!

anyways i know this isn't really a life update like most of my blogs are, but my last one was over a year ago, so i'm excused. if you read this, tell me what your favorite pastry is! i'd have to go with a good no-bake cheesecake with fruit.
