you should check out king crimson, they have tons of albums with all kinds of different styles. their first album (In the Court of the Crimson King) is the one most people start with, and it is the most entry level album of theirs, but definitely check out "Red" by King Crimson too, that album is incredibly powerful. the last song from Red, "Starless", and pretty much unanimously agreed to be their best song.
