Substitute

Today there was a sub for my English class who was SO rude. English is the only class with my friend and so we play around in that class. This sub was already rude right from the start and when a girl in front of me was quiet while taking attendance the sub said "Be louder!", after he started taking attendance again and people were saying "Here!" he started saying "that's how you are meant to talk, see? It's not that hard" (Literally wtf? He said it with such a snarky and stuck up tone too. Like, what is your problem dude?). I was then talking to my friend (We are also teammates for our project) and he kept budding in and talking to us (Which I didn't mind, but it was a little awkward). 10 minutes into the class; everyone was talking, people's chairs were turned to face behind them so they could talk to their friends and the whole room was talking, but me and my friend were laughing a little louder than people were talking. The sub got really angry and started acting like he had told us to be quiet before even though HE NEVER DID?! (And why only call us out? Literally, everyone else was talking?) Then he started going on a rant and saying that school is for learning and that I am in honours English so I should act like it. Me and my friend thought it was crazy and kind of silly for him to be acting like that and we tried to stop laughing but then we started laughing while the room was quiet because the sub was just yelling, then the sub told us to go work in the open space so I don't disrupt the class unless I want to get sent to the dean of students. My friend was really mad and she called her mom, but then after 10 minutes of us being outside the sub walked to the bathroom we texted our friends and told them to lock the door so the sub couldn't get back in, and while he was stuck outside for a minute we watched him struggling and he kept looking at us, then when they finally opened the door he propped the door open, and we made sure to laugh really loud so he could hear us from inside the room 😒.

I just don't get what his problem was? It's a Friday and one of the last hours of school; not to mention that everyone isn't doing their work because you're a sub or some people are done with their work. And so what if I am an honours student; it doesn't make me any less likely to want to have fun and laugh; I don't see what the problem is with me laughing and having fun. I don't know what he expected from an honours student, but I am glad I wasn't it 🤷‍♂️ I'll start acting like an honours student when you stop acting like you have a stick up your ass 😭
