October 17th, 2024 * Thursday...
so! this week!heeello, it's very autumn-y over here right now, and it's been so nice my head sort of feels like exploding on the daily. I am admittedly veryvery excited it is getting colder, even if a little sad to see the sun tone down. and besides all of the sincere reasons I am excited, a larger, worse reason is that my red jacket has an excuse to be worn nonstop with no 70-degree weather calling its name to render it a self-inflicted attack on my body temperature and leave me dead from heatstroke.
also, I just really love warm apple cider and it makes me happy pfbbtbt.;;
stuff to look forward to?
there's sort of a lot upcoming, honestly.friends are very excited for costumes, apparently my friend Bren (you will be hearing about him very often) is planning a halloween party and this is final. we are not escaping this plan or the things it entails for us and that is okay. he is already buying deranged amounts of candy because sometimes being adult children is important for us. we're also both going to be detectives this year, uhhh, if I remember correctly all my stuff is put together to be Gumshoe and he's all set up to be Harry DuBois! I'm still chipping away at Disco Elysium, but he had fun with it. so this is good.
second thing coming up is tomorrow, actually!
💥 so, here is the part where I mention my best friend for the first time! 💥 Court (or Courtney) is my closest friend, Trucy Wright fused with Clay Terran incarnate, and we've been with each other since preschool. she's veryvery creative and I love them with all my heart. they're probably the biggest point of positivity in my life, honestly, and I just home I can keep being the same.
that said, this weekend is their birthday weekend! it's not actually her birthday, ack, although it's veryvery close so that's good enough for us. I'm sort of breaking a sweat trying to find gifts, not out of lack of inspiration but moreso lack of money, aaahaha.;; not giving up hope, though, and I love making things for her so I think whatever money won't buy my hands and some art supplies will.
she and her friend Britta (errr honestly mutual friend works!! I know Britta fairly well, she's pretty cool from the few times we have interacted) have decided to bring me along for an event thing...? I say thing because we're all working out details, but it's basically a costume event called Witches Night Out where our local vendors are gonna be doing witchy stuff that Saturday night, and you're supposed to dress up in witch stuff. or 'whatever makes you feel magical', in the words of the flyer. that is very ominously sweet if not vague, so I am now their 5'5" homosexual man to be taken along for the ride. I'm not the most expressive guy but I hope they know I'm honestly more than a little excited, it does sound fun, ahah.// I just gotta figure out outfit stuff. my wardrobe is not cut out for this. but that's okay.
after that Court and I are gonna be together until Monday. :] I'm excited. her driving skills are getting better despite the veryvery loud CD blaring that takes place in the car in question. they mean a lot to me.
good things that already happened...
not much more to say, but last weekend was nice and my village had Fall Festival, Court came out for that, too.these pictures are from their $600 red Powershot camera (a camera she got for free; they found it ominously buried in a Target parking lot in otherwise perfect condition, which her Dad promptly took without question. that was five years ago. I live with this knowledge and decide not to question it.) the pictures are better quality than on my busted Sony Cybershot, so all's well that ends well.
here are those!!
(middle one taken by Court, top and bottom taken by me; also, faces blurred for privacy, but the first picture makes me really happy (you can't see it for real but their smile was really big))
anyhow, there are those :] hopefully whoever's out there reading is doing good, that was a lot of rambling shoved into one big blog and hopefully it was at least a little cozy to read through. I also have to go feed Mikeko (calico-patterned 4 month old guinea pig, you'll never guess where I got his name) and promptly conk immediately after this. so that's all for now. that also marks the end of blog entry #1. cue confetti...? Idunno ahahshbfh ////
happy autumn!!
thank you for reading!! seriously!!!
