Carving Pumpkins

About a week ago, i decided to do the unthinkable, drink cheap coffee that taste like if you put a dirty old sock to boil and to buy a eight pound pumpkin... My mom tells me people used to carve pumpkins to scare spirits away ages ago, wasn't the whole point of Halloween to ward off evil spirits? In my area, most of Christians and Jehovah's Witnesses shame the celebration but like, why??? I remember my nieces (they're older than me, ask my dad, he was a teen dad) telling me all they do during the day is pray and attend service at their church and i gasped, what do you mean you don't get pre-diabetes during Halloween? what a sad life. Anyways, i felt like a homicidal maniac using a chef's knife to cut the pumpkin bottom and face. My mom cooked the insides with water, sugar, and cinnamon (im craving a sweet potato right now (っ˘ڡ˘ς))
