Some thoughts on my head

So I have had a lot of friends over the years, many of them online because it's been pretty hard to actually socialize in real life, even online I struggle too. Regardless, these friends have come and gone, some have come back, some momentarily. Regardless, there are a lot of things I've noticed between a lot of these people I've considered friends over the years, and I'd like to air out some thoughts as well as tell people something that really needs to be said.

Many of them have had a very negative mindset brought up by a few things like the current state of the world, restlessness, or other outstanding factors. Specifically, the one I'd like to touch upon is the one regarding age and accomplishments. When you're 18, a majority of people are ready to finally get into the world and thrust themselves into a whole new world of adventurous opportunities. Regardless of opportunities even being available (I know how it is, I've struggled to get a job) there are a few things that I would like to say.

If you're young like me, 19 years of age, I know it can be tough to believe yourself adequate enough for anything. You feel like it's utterly over and that there's nothing for you to do because you don't have anything that you can do. You were never all that athletic, you were never a genius, you were never all that great at anything...

And you know what? That's okay.

Virality is a blessing. As you get older, it can be hard to actually learn new skills, and do anything with them. You're young and you've got a lot of room for error. Don't be afraid to pick up a new skill, or instrument. Places like college are a great way to figure out just what you wanna do? Don't like college? Learn a trade like plumbing or flooring, electrician maybe. You've got a lot of opportunities today more than ever, and I think you should take advantage of them. I know what i listed doesn't sound very cool, but you really don't know if you'll enjoy something if you don't try it at least. I didn't think that during my third semester in College, I would actually enjoy 3D modeling, I always thought it was unbearably finicky, complex, and not exactly something I could do, but as it turns out, i actually really do like 3D animation, it's just like drawing only we're working in a 3D Space. Or rather, when i was 16-17, my art admittedly really looked bad. I had no understanding of Anatomy, proportions, perspective, and whatever. I thought logistics like that were boring and I relied mainly on tactics. Although it's hard to say that i didn't improve at all when i learned art this way, it's suffice to say that I genuinely didn't actually make rapid improvement until i learned stuff like the Loomis method. Another example is my relationship with digital art. Although i was fairly skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I did not like drawing on the computer, i actually hated it. I hated my software of choice, Medibang Pro. I didn't know how to cell shade, i didn't know what "add", "multiply", "burn" and "dodge" meant until i actually took the time to learn how to do it. Even though i've changed my art style, especially looking through my Instagram you can see it (@yamagitsune.aert btw, you should totally check it out), it's still a testament of what learning a skill can do for you, especially since i'm learning how shading works.

TL;DR: You're young, pick up some skills instead of saying your life is over.
