music creation

ugh, new to the whole concept of sharing any aspect of my creative side but ill be doing that here, documenting song writing, concept and creation, hopefully this goes well.

general exposition

I think for this specific project ill be utilizing a squier jaguar an acoustic and if need be a epiphone for third, to keep audible variation for each part, using a crate amp and a TS9 tube screamer, and a chorus/vibrato

INSPIRATION

im thinking of the more acoustic songs off "the bends" by Radiohead along with lucky

some wilco, comedown machine by the strokes, just music ive been listening to recently that inspires me.

    I'm so incredibly frustrated and desperate right now. im going through such a block, im losing sleep and i end up just melting down and slamming on the guitar for hours, i end up with bloody hands and have to wipe it from the pickguard. this isnt writers block, i know exactly what I need and what helps me, i need a band to work things past concept or demo. i can't play everything at once, and my self doubt is crippling so i need people to get ideas to. i don't think any single person in my life grasps the concept that music is a literal life or death for me, it's what I'm going to do with my life, it's my way out of this place. 

  I believe i may have come to some sort of disappointing conclusion yesterday, my expectations are complex and unique in many aspects, I'm to the point where i despise using power chords, it's too "easy" and is barely a challenge creatively, but the conclusion was i can't start with a G Mixolydian key.(example) starting simple is physically and mentally the easiest thing, even if it makes me feel like another copy paste rock or punk band. that part is the key to get me to the people that are musically inclined and creative, so i can work from there. sorry, I'm rambling.

  today i warmed up with Bury me in black, Thank you for the Venom (both MCR) india rubber, high and dry, my iron lung and climbing up the walls(RH)  Alone, together, call it fate call it karma(strokes). all used to get me physically prepared for most genres and speeds and to exercise some creativity

also ive been "messing around" with acoustic more, along with utilizing my chorus/vibrato on my jaguar. im looking for a rock with acoustic feel right now. like paranoid android in a way. as of 12:19 OCT 19 2024 ive yet to find a progression that spikes my interest enough to jot down

eureka moment. I've had a huge spike in music writing and even down to each note i play for the past two days. im gonna write and record an EP with some friends, to give my brother (best friend) for his birthday. hes been the single most influential person in my life since the day we met. and I'm not one for big shiny gifts, so I'm doing this. got some songs written down that im happy with and am laying lyrics. this is exciting
