Yea, batteries die over time, as all things do but quicker.
There is probably someone out there who has repalcing them masterd down to an art form. I'd llook aroun see if the proces are right.

Oooof, and that model of IPod's battery's are a pain to take out, sorry you lost out on 3 dollars.
