yesterday i played flipside for the first time on a blind playthrough Tell Me Why Half Of This Game Was About Foot Fetishes Bro. like this overhyped game was just another weird gooner game like the scenes in this game were so uncomfortable to watch, esp on how objectified jecka was and the fye route. on that note why did the developers Torture Jecka Throughout Any Route like i feel so so bad for her like this wasnt the game she deserved. also this game was very very overpriced for the amount of content it had
It Took Me An Hour to finish everything but then again it IS a visual novel
i really didnt like all of the endings apart from the one where jeffery died and jecka forced nicole to have the trauma as well
literally this game could have been SO much better bro there was a bit of funny stuff but most of the game was very depressing
yeah if theres anyone that agrees with me hmu and feel free to give opinions on this game !!

Understandable take. The Flipside was definitely way more depressing than the first game, and I can see why a lot of people don't like it.
However, I wouldn't exactly call it a gooner game. The original game was a satirical piece to make fun of people who obsessively played games for that purpose. I feel like The Flipside not only pushes that further, but also aims to poke at the newer audience too.
Like I said, the game is a massive satire piece (which everyone probably already knows so idk why im saying it again) A lot of people ended up liking Nicole and relating to Nicole in the main game, which in itself is not a bad thing. But a lot of people ended up excusing her actions and bad behavior due to their bias towards her, and I think the creator wanted to flip that on its head. I've heard a lot of people describing The Flipside as a look into Jecka and Nicole's relationship through Jecka's perspective. It would make sense as to why Nicole would be a lot more "evil" in this DLC than in the last game. Nicole really is not a good person, and I feel like the creator was using Jecka to really highlight that in full.
As far as the feet thing goes, I don't think the creator pushed it because he had a thing for feet. Again, I feel like he was still trying to poke fun at basement dweller weebs who play visual novels for the fanservice and gooning, although I can definitely see why a lot of people think the creator took it too far. As much as I love the game, it can definitely go over the top at times, and I'm not the first one to admit that
Anyway, don't mind me rambling on. Just wanted to add my two cents is all :)
