Got finished with classes and currently at "work."

I watched some Mythical Kitchen, "episodes", specifically the Serj Tankien episode and MatPat episode. Both of these super intelligent and inspiring people had vastly different "Last meals." It was very touching to see that both of these people chose their wives as the most important people to them. Growing up I felt like that women were never as valued as the men in families, and I have felt neglected for an extremely long time in every aspect of human relationships. To see Matpat tear up over the thought of his wife dying, and his goals in life surrounding their relationship and his family was incredibly touching to me. Serj Tankien, when asked who he'd share his last meal with, said his wife.

I never witnessed "love" like that in my life. Every couple I know seems to hate each other. To see someone genuinely choose their wife as their center of their life was strangely foreign to me, but it makes so much sense. Why would the person you choose to spend the rest of your life with, NOT be that person? Usually, I feel like people would choose their children over their spouse, and I suspect the people in my life would make the same choice. Obviously, it's not an easy choice, but to me it makes so much more sense to choose the person you initially decided to live the rest of your life with. These people chose their wives, and I found it to be very grounding.

To have someone to share the beautiful experience of life with is like a dream to me. There is nothing more beautiful in life, than to have that sort of connection with another human being.
