good morning, how are you? today I'm going to talk about lemon sharks :)

Lemon sharks, scientifically known as Negaprion brevirostris, are fascinating marine creatures found primarily in warm coastal waters. They are named for their distinctive yellowish coloration.
Characteristics
Appearance:

• Color: They have a light yellow or olive color on their dorsal side and a lighter underside.

• Size: Lemon sharks can grow up to 10 feet (3 meters) in length.

• Body Shape: They have a robust body with a relatively short snout.

Habitat:

• Commonly found in shallow waters, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions, including the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico.

• They often inhabit sandy or muddy bottoms near coral reefs and estuaries.

Behavior
Diet: Lemon sharks are carnivorous, primarily feeding on:

• Fish

• Crustaceans

• Other small marine animals

Social Structure:

• They are known to be social animals and often form groups, especially during the mating season.

Reproduction:

• Lemon sharks are viviparous, meaning they give birth to live young rather than laying eggs.

• Females usually have a gestation period of about 12 months, giving birth to 4 to 17 pups at a time.
