Fatal Fury lore dump!!!

*Quick disclaimer that most of the information revolving Krauser and the Stroheim dynasty was found on the wiki, so if I got anything wrong, feel free to let me know!

PRE-PRE-Pre Games:

The House of Stroheim Dynasty is a dynasty that ruled from Germany, originating in 90 AD, ever since the Germanic Wars of the Roman Empire. This dynasty came in place by an unnamed German tribesmen, who used the Stroheim family martial arts. This dynasty grew in the 9th century during the roman empire. During this time, the Stroheims had a history of being the main reason for Europe's conflicts and hiring mercenaries to be the dynasties agents up until the 20th century. Near the end of WWII, The Stroheim Dynasty got into ruling the criminal underworld, as well as influencing politics, as the dynasty had been failing during this time. 1952 comes, and the present head of the family, Michael, loses both his wife and son, with only his granddaughter, Elza, being the only other member. Elza falls in love with Rudolph, who is experienced with martial arts. Michael, knowing the lack of Stroheim's left, agrees to their marriage. Later on, since Rudolph was part of the Stroheim family now, Rudolph is forced to leave his wife, Maria, and child, Geese, in America. Rudolph has a child with Elza named Krauser. Once Krauser became nine, Geese made an attempt to assassinate Rudolph, as he blamed him for leaving his mother, Maria, to die. Both Krauser and Geese fight, and Krauser reigns victorious, almost killing Geese.

PRE-pre games:

Students Cheng Sinzan, Jeff Bogard, and Geese Howard were being trained by Master Tung Fu Rue. At the end of their training, Master Tung chooses 1 student to teach his secret technique to, the Hakkyokuseiken fighting style. He chooses Jeff, because he notices that Geese wants to learn the power for evil, which made Geese mad, and he swore to get revenge on Jeff. After this, he attempts to be Blue Mary’s grandfather's student, but he knew about Tung Fu Rue refusing him, so he refused as well. This ends up getting Mary’s grandfather killed. In 1979, Geese held the first King of Fighters tournament. Ryo Sakazaki participates, and almost kills Geese, with Geese evading his attack. Around this time, Jeff Bogard and Hanzo Shiranui team up and fight Krauser, giving Krauser half of his x-shaped scar on his forehead.

Pre-Games:

Jeff Bogard adopts 2 children, Terry and Andy. One day, Jeff and the brothers go outside. It's all good until Geese, who is now a crime boss, sends his minions to kill Jeff. Once Jeff is weakened, Geese hits the final blow. Geese did this mainly because of his hatred of Jeff, but he also did this to obtain one of three scrolls which he thought was information on the fighting style known as Hakkyokuseiken, something he desperately wanted to learn. This is disproved later, as it is told later on that the ways of Hakkyokuseiken were never written down. Later, Tung Fu Rue tells the brothers that they have to train for the next ten years to become the greatest fighter so he can get revenge.

Fatal Fury: The King of Fighters:

Terry comes back to his hometown, South town, after his ten years of training. So does his brother Andy. Terry is told about the second King of Fighters competition and decides to participate. He fights people like Andy, Andy's rival and friend, Joe Higashi, Mai Shiranui, Billy Kane, ect. until he gets to fight Geese. Terry wins and Geese fakes his death by falling off of his tower. He survives this, using his Shippuken to survive the fall. Even though he didn't die, he still took some damage, and he trains so he can win his next fight with Terry.

Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle:

Geese is recovering from the fall from the last game, so his half brother, Wolfgang Krauser, takes the role of the host of The King of Fighters tournament. He does this because he hopes to find the person who "killed" Geese and fight them. Terry joins, and goes around the world to become the champion, and fights Krauser at the end. Terry defeats Krauser, but it is unknown whether Krauser actually died or not.

Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory:

Terry comes back once again to visit South town with Andy and his friends, Joe and Mai. Terry, Andy, Joe, and Cheng hear about some secret scrolls that Geese is trying to steal. Geese has recovered and is ready to fight. He already has one scroll, and he’s trying to find the other two. In the middle of trying to find the scrolls, Terry meets Yamazaki, a Japanese criminal who knows the location of the scrolls, but will not tell him. Near the end, Terry fights Geese and wins, meets with Cheng to find Yamazaki and fights him, then wins. This leads Geese to jump off his tower yet again. Yamazaki tells Terry to visit Delta park, but suddenly gets teleported by Jin Chonshu, a child who was possessed by his warrior ancestors who wrote the scrolls, with the goal to get them back to obtain immortality. Apparently, Yamazaki was hired by both Chonshu and his brother to protect the scrolls. Terry wins, then fights Chonshu's brother, Jin Chonrei, who is also possessed. After a long battle, Terry defeats them. The brothers end up dead, but Terry uses the scrolls to revive them, and the brothers are in control again, and are back to normal and with no intent to have the scrolls.

Real Bout Fatal Fury:

Geese is back and holds another King for Fighters tournament to Terry's surprise, since he thought Geese died. Geese survived the fall in Fatal Fury 3 because of the one scroll of immortality he had already. It all goes how it usually goes, and Terry fights Geese at the top of Geese Tower. Terry wins, and Geese gets blown and breaks through the fence at the top of the tower. Terry tries to save Geese by holding onto him, but Geese pulls his hand away and falls off his tower. Terry takes care of Geese's son, Rock, for the time being.

Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 notes:

Since this game isn't canon to the series, I only decided to put some notes I'd like to point out. In both of the Jin brothers' endings, it is revealed that Chonshu is being trained under Kim Kaphwan and Chonrei is being trained under Master Tung Fu Rue. In both Hon-Fu and Yamazaki's endings, White was with Yamazaki when Hon-Fu broke into his base. Maybe White is working with Yamazaki, but this is most likely just an easter egg.

**Edit: Apparently, some time after COTW's reveal, it was confirmed that it's actually canon.**

Garou: Mark of the Wolves:

10 years after Real Bout, South Town has gotten more peaceful. Though this is a good thing, some missed the excitement, so they created a city called "Second South Town." Rock Howard is now 17, and Terry had been taking care of him. Rock is curious about what happened to his mom, and he gets an invitation to a King of Fighters tournament, and the letter said the host has information about his mom. He gets to the end and meets Kain R. Heinlein, Marie Heinlein's (Rock's mom's) brother. Kain says if Rock helps him with his plans, Rock will find out more about his mother, which Kain suggests may still be alive. They fight, and Rock wins. Terry comes in and observes. Rock says he won't help at first, but he starts to think about changing. Rock tells Terry his choice, but Terry respects it.
