Oh god finally something I can talk about. Okay so, Getting my Favorites out of the Way: UMINEKO! A long read, like seriously im still not fully done (EP7 right now). A murder mystery at its core about a rich family, and something with magic maybe (not to spoil). Kind of gory At Times just as a small warning, tho not in CG's just, in writing. Seriously one of the best out there. The House in Fata Morgana... About a mysterious house and the people that lived in it. Perhaps the best love story of all time, extremely gut wrenching and just.. such a human peace of literature. Made me cry multiple times. Atleast one SA scene I remember (it isn't gratuitous SA or like, Eroge tho. Overcoming abuse Is one of the themes of the VN) Higurashi - Perhaps the horror VN of all times? Time loopy shenanigans with loads of written gore. Saya no Uta - Short atmospheric horror VN by Urobuchi who also wrote Madoka Magica. Graphic. Extremely good, has a schizophrenic (?) Protag. Sayonara wo Oshiete - Also, a short Denpa horror VN by Craftwork. One of the big Denpa Three (alongside Tsui no Sora and Jisatsu101). Currently has crappy translations, although you can DEFINITELY get by with the ones out there. Very atmospheric. Very Graphic, and with a misogynist delusional Protag. Subarashiki Hibi - EXTREMELY graphic novel, a remake/retelling of the original Tsui no Sora, and as such also a Denpa game. I recommend threading with caution because some of the nsfw is just flat out repulsive and definitely made me step back for a bit (SA, One Singular Beastiality/SA scene that was NOT fun to read, actually made me puke in my mouth a lil.) IF you can look past that, it is an interesting read and Takuji Mamiya is a very intriguing character to me but yeah. Steins;Gate - Haven't finished this one yet, but its a psychological thriller/sci-fi VN about a chuunibyou guy and his friends discovering time manipulation. Pretty good. Gore Screaming Show - As the name suggests, this is a gorey (albeit mostly just in bad ends/near the end of the routes) horror VN by black cyc. Do not be fooled by the gore filter it's a fake out. Anyways. It tackles some interesting topics with a certain sensibility that I've rarely seen in ESPECIALLY erotic VN's, such as religious guilt, Sexual Abuse and the aftermath of it and so on. Pretty good read. CLANNAD - Slice of Life/Drama VN. It's a Nakige, meaning very emotional. Has perhaps one of the most iconic anime adaptations ever. Planetarian - By the people that made Clannad, This one is also a Nakige. Follows the protagonist in a dystopian, post-war world, as he comes across a Planetarium, and the android left behind in it. Also a really good read.
