Did people forget about what 'opinion' means?????

I feel like people need to learn to respect people's opinions, and also they need to learn what a hurtful "opinion" is. 

So basically I was looking at sonamy stuff (cuz its my fav sonic ship!!) and i noticed the SHEER AMOUNT of people who shipped shadamy or sonadow or another thing in ALL of the comment sections like: "Erm actually ___ ship is better ur wrong ehehehehe" and i really don't understand why?? Like ok you like your ship dosen't mean you are given a free pass to be mean abt it?? And also this is the exact opposite problem, but can be used in the same way, where when those people get critism, they say "well ehehehe its my opinion in ur face ehehehe" and its so annoying like what????? Plus also people who ship child x adult are like "well its my opinion" when its obvi problematic. Just because it's your opinion dosen't mean its a good one. And the difference between a good and bad opinion is whether it's problematic or in this case, LITERALLY BASED ON SOMETHING ILLEGAL.
