Weirdcore Exploration Roblox Games?

Hello! I am on a search for more weirdcore roblox games to obsess over. I've scoured through many many many many MANY of them but I'm hoping through this post that I can find so many more! On the inverse, I'll recommend some of my favorites!

Critterspace

I mean this one is just a classic, isn't it? Every time a new update comes out I'm enthralled by how many new things there are to experience! I also love the adorable kidcore vibe mixed with the more sinister and disturbing themes of meat and teeth. It's one of my biggest inspirations to this day.

Dream world/JOVIAL Playground

I'm lumping these two together since they were made by the same people, but Dream world was one of the first weirdcore exploration games I ever played and it ultimately led to me falling in love with the genre of weirdcore as a whole. JOVIAL Playground is smaller than the two aformentioned games, but it still has a lot to offer in terms of secrets, lore, and all around quirkiness!

Pepper's Playhouse

This one is cute! Several neat characters and fun locations including the iconic dashcon ball pit, and the clown theme mixed with the diner vibe leads to a colorful and fun environment! But of course, it wouldn't be weirdcore without an unhealthy amount of eyes, now would it?

recollection

It's basically a collection of popular liminal spaces. That description alone doesn't do it justice, however, since the game is just oozing with atmosphere! From the lighting to the sound design to the smallest details that really tie everything together, it's a wonderful experience for any fans who enjoy liminality.

Toy's Fun

Rather than taking place indoors, this game is set on a city street. There are a few locations to choose from, all of them rather intriguing and charming in their own way. Not only that, but the characters are fully-animated 3D models which is quite impressive! Even outside of the buildings, the street itself has many oddities to behold and will leave you exploring for a good while!

EXPLORE

This game is similar to recollection in that it's a collection of different strange spaces. It sets itself apart with an entire avatar customization menu, a merch shop, and many unique experiences, like traversing through a giant cheese or seeing the house from those machines where they puff air into your eye. It also has different emotes like sitting or ragdolling. And there are pianos you can find all over the map in case you're feeing particularly artsy!

DREAM WORLD

Not to be confused with Dream world, DREAM WORLD is heavily inspired by the indie rpg game Yume Nikki. Even so, much sets it apart from its inspiration, giving out an entirely new experience to any fans who might be clamoring for more. This isn't the first of its kind, nor will it be the last, but it's probably my favorite Yume Nikki-like on Roblox.

Clinic of dreams

This game was made with roleplayers in mind, having an option to set a custom rp name and also reserving a hospital room specifically for you! Besides it being a hospital which is one of my favorite aesthetic motifs, it also seems to be developing an intricate lore within its fantastical world, one which I'm eager to see more of!

Halls of Reverie

This one has been slept on for much too long. It's genuinely a feast for the eyes, with a collage-type aesthetic that wouldn't be out of place in an episode of Madoka Magica. The characters are few and far between, but they mesh with their environments perfectly and have fantastic designs. It's one of my favorite weirdcore experiences for sure, especially with the references to LSD Dream Emulator.

Frown Town!

I'm genuinely surprised more people don't know about this one because it is just phenomenal. Not only is the game itself ginormous, but similar to Toy's Fun it also has 3D modeled characters you can interact with. I don't think I could do it justice with words, so I would just recommend checking it out for yourself!

Dimension 32

Until recently I didn't even know this game exists, but I was honestly blown away by just how cool it is! With the early Windows aesthetic carrying the experience, the creators knew how to get creative with the idea they were given. Bluescreens, pop-ups, wires and outlets and widgets, it's quite lovely for someone like me who's always nostalgic for that old Windows feel. Also there are literally rooms you can claim and customize to your liking! How cool is that!

APPARITION HOSPITAL

Similarly to Clinic of dreams, this game takes place in a hospital, but it has more undertones of religious trauma to it as well. You also get your own hospital roommate! How fun! Every corner has custom detail that not only hints at lore but also makes the hospital feel more lived in.

Ribbon Rabbit Daycare

Speaking of detail, MAN does this game have it! Every room is packed to the brim with things you can look at, making it so it's constantly fun to explore every nook and cranny of the place. The variety of locations is also seemingly endless, to the point where it might take you a while to discover everything. It also has my entire heart since one of the characters is a weird scientist lady.

Kamifubuki Entertainment Center

This game is on another level. The characters all have custom talking sprites, the environments are packed with detail, and even the arcade games have their own little minigames! The side bar is also completely custom along with the dialogue boxes and the option menus! It's honestly one of the most impressive weirdcore exploration games I've ever experienced.

THE THAUMALIC DINER

I actually found this one through a friend on Discord. There's not much in it yet, but what it does have is honestly so charming and wonderful! I especially love the custom plushies and Coraline bug furniture. And of course it has a nonbinary lesbian mad scientist so I have to simp. I can tell there's a lot more that's in the works so I'm excited to see where it goes!

There are so many more I could mention but honestly I ran out of energy like halfway through the list oops. Let me know about your favorites in the comments! I'll be sure to check them all out if I haven't already :)
