I've been thinking about that one theory, I think the dead internet theory is what it's called? There are so many people on the wide web space, but there is no one that interacts with me?? I don't say this to garner pity, but it still feels strange. I am doing the most just to make friends across the waves but no one heeds my calls. When will it click? What must I do?

That makes sense. Unfortunately there's no way to make people interact with you, cause I know I only search for things I'm interested in. But if you keep up with posting, interact with others regularly, and talk about a big group of topics, in no time people will start following you and interacting with you.

it's a matter of putting yourself in the right spaces. A lot of people here are here to get away from the internet that pulls you in and tries to get you addicted so I don't expect much activity here from friends. Just post blogs of your hobbies or things you like and people will come.
I post a lot about games I like and such and I have my own website so people can see if their likes align with mine. That may help :)
