Using a 2012 Macbook in 2024

Why

i decided one day i am a 2011/2012 princess queen who had a macbook and not a ugly gaming pc so i got one, i booted linux mint onto it and its amazing, i use it almost everyday and i see no issues barley, for the only like 7 tasks i do i think its a very very very good investment for me. I HATED my old pc, well not that much but still, it was the most dirty unclean big wire mess and a big ugly disgusting never cleaned box.

Gaming

gaming on the 2012 macbook isn't the best... really depends what you play because like i play 1998 half life 1 and doom 1993 and gmod 2012 sometimes but mainly just the 90's games. half life 1 plays the best out of all of them, im pretty sure it runs out 60ish fps 40 maybe but really same thing, doom 1993 runs a bit slow for some odd reason but i don't play it at all so..  also when you download something above a gigabyte the macbook gets so hot it could maybe melt (im not joking) and the screen gets all white and fuzzy and everything runs at like 1 fps on the computer, i would not recommend gaming on it

What i do on it

i honestly just talk on discord and watch youtube and work on my website and use spacehey on my macbook, yeah the gaming part is true but i barley even play games, i just hang out and shit.
