im really into pop punk, punk, rock, metal,,, really any subgenres of rock (mostly 2000s stuff)
for some more reference my current favorite bands are sleep token, blink-182, and paramore

You should start listening to 80's emocore. Dag Nasty is a good start for you.
I forgot to mention Songs for the Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age. It's a really excellent record.

you should for sure check out black flag or dead kennedys if youre into punk
also for metal theres a lot of great metal bands but id recommend mushroomhead or gojira those are two of my personal favorites
