tysm for the island name recommendations on my prev bulletin… i ended up settling for bluelace, but it was a very tough decision !! i’ll probably go for angelite on wild world- and auralite on city folk (when i eventually restart it) so all options will get their usage somewhere :~)
omfg i missed new leaf so much. it’s crazy what having this game back did to my mental state lmfao, i suddenly feel like i can run a marathon and start my own business. my adrenaline is at 100
and i got so lucky with my villager setup?? i planned on modding most of my villagers anyway so i guess it doesn’t matter a huge amount- but i stepped off the train to see maple, wart.jr, and diana ?? how did i luck out so hard ?? i didn’t intend on searching for diana originally but she’s definitely staying now, i love her so much :*)
carmen is there as well- while i’m not inlove with her i still think she’s adorable & don’t mind having her there for a little while ^^ i haven’t installed any mods yet since i do wanna keep my gameplay as authentic as possible; but will be using them for predominantly exterior design and villager placement, since both aspects are pretty tedious & impractical in ACNL’s basegame. i’m excited to mod it eventually tho !!
i haven’t accomplished anything giant so far, i’ve just been focusing on fishing & gaining bells (i’m still salty about losing my old game files, my critterpedia was so high ._.) but even just the simple stuff is so enjoyable to me. the soundtrack makes me sooo eee^_^ you know. i be making that my-little-pony smile noise.
aside from animal crossing, i’ve also been playing nintendogs and tomodachi life !! both are super fun & taking up a lot of my time Lol. tomodachi life is so funny. one downside to it though… i wish same sex relationships were allowed… it’s actually very annoying (especially since my mii keeps tryna get it on with my best friend) but i will live >_<
my puppy in nintendogs is ever so gracefully named Twig. she is the light of my life & i will be taking extra measures to make sure she thrives in everything. i’m also saving up my coins to adopt a cat. hehehehehhe
oh and i started “hey! pikmin” this morning !! i’ve heard that it’s the least favourite within the pikmin franchise but i’m honestly enjoying it quite a bit so far… although that is most likely because i’ve never played any other pikmin games before, so my word probably doesn’t count much. i really want to sometime tho !! i just wish i owned a wii-u for it
in summary i am very excited over my modded 3DS Lol. thank you for all the game recommendations i’ve received !! i’m taking them very seriously and i will get around to playing them eventually :} thx for reading

I love New Leaf! Been trying to get back to playing it more since New Horizons has gotten quite stale for me. New Leaf I'd consider one of the best Animal Crossing games, it had such a nice balance to keep you entertained, and the whole atmosphere holds a special place in my heart. :)

i massively agree. new horizons isn’t a bad game per se but it does have a strange disconnect from the rest of the franchise :*) i love all the ac games for different reasons but i think new leaf will always be my #1.

and you did luck out fr :00 Maple + Diana are such cuties, and Wart Jr. is so silly - i've only ever had him in WW, and he would roast the hell out of me xdd i loved him

the soundtrack in New Leaf has to be my favourite in the series. . . Wild World is pretty close, but New Leaf just captures the Animal Crossing vibes so well. . . especially 7pm :D
AND AWH Nintendogs is such an awesome franchise. . . miss it a lot - TWIG IS SUCH A CUTE NAME FOR YOUR DOGGO!!!! and cats in Nintendogs are so cute. . . too bad you can barely do anything with them :*)
and Tomodachi Life is such a great game to have. . . was my second game ever (after Miitopia - i was HELLA late to the 3ds xd) and i agree!!!! not having same-sex relationships is such a bummer :/ there's a way around it, by setting the miis' sexes as male and female, but making one of the mii's appearance akin to their gender - though the pronouns will be wrong :(
i've never played a Pikmin game before, but i really need to give it a shot xdd
and same here!!! something about playing Pikmin on a TV sounds more fun, idk xd

firstly omfg sorry for the late response but i always HEART your comments so much !! like genuinely your mutualship is so precious to me.. tysm for always interacting. ^_^
secondly-- YESS ARGHHH i love my villagers infinitely. I've since had genji move in as well !! but also Rodney... it's like the game could sense my luck & they needed to balance it out a little by throwing him in there...
you're soo real for wanting 2 diff towns to play authentically plus experiment with. I'd love to leave my town as untouched as possible but unfortunately it's extremely hard to make your town look good without doing so !! the limitations when it comes to placing plots/ public work projects pain me so much.. and the pressure of needing to place your house (& campsite etc) in the right spot first attempt is so stressful as well ! I'd much rather just use save editor & save myself the struggle Lol.
and yessss losing all my progress was DEVASTATING for a while.. I've come to better terms with it now since i am genuinely enjoying my new save, but !! i am still in mourning. RIP sunny's game carts.
THE SOUNDTRACKS AHHHHHH i was just thinking last night that i might make a blog ranking each hourly track from all the ac games !! New leaf 100% has my fav music as well. I don't think new horizons' is bad? but it certainly doesn't hit the same. wild world & new leaf music will always have a very special place in my heart. <3
nintendogs is awesome !! completely agree about the cats tho :( they mainly just sit there and look pretty. it would've been cool if we could take them on walks and teach them tricks too >_<
tomodachi life is SUPER FUN !! miitopia as well !! i have yet to redownload that but i def will soon :3 i was honestly somewhat late to the 3DS as well; purely because my brother was the one to own one when we were kids. I played it sometimes but never had my own games !! it's so refreshing to have my own now :)
i heard about the little trick to get around the gender limitations but the pronouns being wrong is pretty meh :( :/ definitely better than nothing tho!
pikmin games look superrrr fun, I would def recommend hey pikmin if you've never played the others before! it might not live up to the rest of the pikmin franchise but I'm still having a good time with it :D i 100% gotta play the others some day xP!!!

YOU'RE SO REAL, TOO!!!! and exactly this. . . playing animal crossing new leaf at your own pace is how the game was intended, and how it plays best, i believe (not bashing people who time travel!!!! completely valid if you're working or at school + stuff yada yada) but it's so true how limited unmodded decorating can be :*) you're completely right on the pwps!!!! the struggle of picking the perfect spot as to not regret it and end up having to demolish it sucks, and not to mention the permanent ones!!!! literally one of my main motivators for modding my save was the fact that i placed the wrong police station. . . i wanted Booker, but i preferred the looks of the modern police station, not realising that Cooper occupied that one xdd. . . needless to say, completely nerve wracking and annoying at times
i'm sure it was :( i'm glad you're accepting it more, now!! that stuff will always sting, losing a save file feels like losing a part of yourself, i fear. . . in any game, but especially something as personal as animal crossing

Genji is wonderful-- Rodney. . .not so much. but it's honestly just funny having him around. He has the smug personality type & it's so contradicting with his appearance it kills me xD
and I completely agree! I have time traveled before (predominantly because I'm an insomniac & I like having access to the shops which aren't open past 9/10pm 3 otherwise I love playing during the night, it's so peaceful & I love the music.. in new horizons it's not *as* bad, since there's a drop off box & you can also place any item down outside. but in any prev game I've found my inventory gets filled sooo fast without being able to sell anything (╥﹏╥) but I digress Lol) but playing time-accurately is 100% the way to go imo !! it feels so much nicer.
I have to agree that NH 2pm is a little. . ehh..... it's certainly not an unpopular opinion haha. I think I will get around to making that blog ! ! although it's a little hard since there are 96 total tunes to rank.. i will manage tho :P
and about Nintendo being ignorant, yeah ! ! ! like how there aren't any skin tone customisation options in New Leaf, the game which was released in 2012?? so off-putting man. I also give no praise to EA but I think the fact even those guys allowed same sex relationships really says something Lol. and something I find even funnier, in the Japanese edition of Tomodachi life, a child and an adult can get married !?! There are lots of regional differences between the tomodachi life games, but I didn't expect child x adult to be one of them. it's so funny what they perceive as "appropriate" or not.
I also find it pretty overwhelming getting into new media!! I always find myself sticking to the things I'm already familiar with, both in and outside of videogames, but I've recently been trying to expand my horizons a little :} there are still plentyyy of new series' I would love to get into, but I'll get around to them eventually. even if it is in a few.. years.
I feel like it's harder to get into when it's an already established multiple part series? like, the Zelda games, I've never played a single one, yet I want to!! but where do I even begin >_<!

that's completely valid!!! and i agree on that one xdd - the shops closing so early - at least in our books, lmao - really disturbs a lot of people's experience. . . + i want to have the beautiful town ordinance enabled, since watering flowers every day is a bit unrealistic when you have things going on irl, xdd. . . meaning the night owl ordinance is not an option (i'm aware there are cheats for this, but idk, they never worked for me, or remained enabled lmao. . . plus, having Vapecord running - even having no cheats enabled, will crash your game if you intend to donate a piece of artwork to the museum :( it sucks - ANYWAYS TANGENT OVER) but i have to agree with you on the nighttime music, i love it so much. . . 11pm has so much nostalgia for me xd - YEAH!! the drop-off box was a really clever addition, though i usually end up just dropping items out front, and waiting for morning, to get a better price, lmao - but yeah!! placing things outside is a huge deal, pwps having a limit on how many can be placed in your town really limited outside customisation - and with all of the new items, it's a lot better - though the focus on this aspect of the game, i feel, damaged the core of the series, which really sucks - but we sigh and move on!! i think so. . . it's really nice to see the seasons change in real time, and stuff xdd + the holidays!! that's something i miss, when going back to wild world. . .

EXACTLY. this is such a recent game in the grand scheme of things, and skin-tones not being an option in case of character customisation is ridiculous - and tanning doesn't count - no one should have to leave their console running at a specific time of day - heck, year so that the character that's supposed to represent them looks like them - it's such an easy thing to add, they must have thought about it at some point, going to the trouble of creating a tanning system, but no darker skin tones??? it's honestly really disgusting + i'm sorry you have to deal with that, it's unfair as hell
and exactly - doing my own research, it was this one employee that fought to make sure LGBTQ people were represented. . . it really sucks how easy it is for big companies and old men with money dominate decisions that - in reality, would be much better handled by people who have players' interest in mind - but i digress
i've seen that!!! i've downloaded the Japanese release of Tomodachi Life to expose myself to more common-phrase Japanese, as miis talk rather casually, and i literally had to write down which miis were adults, and which were children to avoid this - ensuring miis who attempted to get into relationships with people of a different age group i reject from perusing them - it's honestly really strange, and i'm surprised it made it past checks - i'm glad this was changed in localised releases - it just goes to show how disgusting Japan can be in regards to enforcing stuff like this, it's extremely common to be harassed in Japan, as a minor, by adults, and it's honestly so fucking disgusting and disturbing - people seem to romanticise Japan a lot, and it sucks that a lot of them overlook this
