Hey so I've looked literally everywhere, and I still can't find any that match the style I'm looking for. I've looked at thrift store, but they never have anything so if there's any websites (not temu or shien) that are affordable and good plz let me know.<3

it won't be easy to find the one perfect emo piece, when it comes to any kind of fashion, the magic is in the pairing of the clothes. starting with basic staples is best, especially if you're new to it. emo fashion is very simple and casual, you should gather references of the things you like and observe. see what's reoccurring.
usually for emo, that's basic hoodies, tees, and tanks in dark or bright colors, collared shirts, basic sneakers such as converse, paired with punk accessories like studded belts and bracelets, which can be done with diy. for the 2000s look of emos most popular era, look for low rise jeans, especially skinny jeans but you can also see more of a baggier fit in Finch's music videos around 2002, for example.

vinted and depop are always really good if you use the right keywords!

Thrifting always works for me, and honestly try to look harder at thrift stores!! You can also go to boutiques, yard sales, rummage sales, and markets! If there are thrift stores that are far from you, maybe like an hour away, then you can go to them a few times a year, and get a big haul! (not too much tho, get what you KNOW you will wear; we need to stop overconsumption) Like, there's a really good Goodwill that always has good items, but it's like 40 minutes away from me, so me and my family go there a few times a year, and i always get a lot of good items that usually end up being some of my favorite clothes!! As for online, you can go on Ebay, Depop, and Amazon, but I usually use Amazon as a last resort!! (0.<)"

Pretty sure emo kids circa 1999 - 2000 were into midwest emo fashion, which is a completely separate style from mid 2000s - early 2010s emo fashion (on a related note, the bands were different too).

Try looking at tutorials and make some of your own things! Get creative with it :) Thrift stores have some nice stuff. Even just basic black t-shirts have a lot of potential. Buy some rhinestones and DIY it.
