Webcomics You Should Read!!!

Hi!! I love reading webcomics and I love talking about webcomics but I don't know anyone who reads my favorite webcomics :(
That's why I personally need more people to read these comics so that we can talk about them together :]

Moonchild

Genres: Manhwa, horror, supernatural, BL?

Status: Ongoing

Platform: Webtoon

Summary: Since childhood, Bak-ha has been able to see "things" that others can't. On the first day at his new school, Bak-ha meets Jindo, and due to the sickeningly sweet smell Bak-ha has, Jindo notices he is different, just like himself. As they get closer, Bak-ha finds out that he was the moonchild, the mythical creature who ruled the spirits in the past, and realizes that this is why the ghosts and demons are after him.

Personal Comments: If you like the manga The Summer Hikaru Died (Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu) you may like this Webtoon! In both stories the two main characters are high school-age boys who are dealing with the supernatural and perhaps feelings for each other?? However, that's about where the similarities end. I really like all of the characters so far and I can't wait to read more! :D

The Pale Horse

Genres: Manhwa, romance? (I personally wouldn't categorize it as romance but a lot of other ppl do), urban fantasy set in a historical period

Status: Finished

Platform: Originally made for TappyToons, but it's no longer available. I used a completely legal and morally good method to read it.

Summary: The story begins in 1835, France. The pretty Rose Dupre is bullied and shunned by the townspeople, who call her the witch's daughter. They believe her mother Lea is a witch who kills and eats humans. However, two kids named Marie and Pierre don't believe all those rumors and decide to protect Rose... But no one can deny that there have been a lot of strange things happening lately, and when a mysterious stranger arrives in town the situation only seems to escalate more. Who is behind all this? What if the rumors about Rose and Lea Dupre are true?

Personal Comments: The summary only covers the first arc. I swear, shit gets crazy. There's vampires, there's magic, there's found family, this story like literally has it all. I cried multiple times while reading it and I still get upset when thinking about certain characters and concepts. I have a playlist and everything I love The Pale Horse so much T-T

Countdown to Countdown

Genres: Science fiction, romance, BL

Status: Ongoing

Platform: Posted on an independent website!

Summary: In the year 2044, "Demifloras" - humans that have developed incredible abilities - are hunted and mutilated by Spawncampers, who seek to sell their organs at exorbitant prices. The story follows Iris Black, a Demiflora that possesses the ability to bring his drawings to life, and a denizen of a facility that seeks to protect Demifloras, as long as they suppress their power. Refusing to deny his ability to please his authoritarian mother, he discovers his golden cage was a gilded lie when he runs into a Demiflora from the outside. With the help of the tower's intruder Lillium White, Iris escapes to the outside world.

Personal Comments: I don't tend to consume sci-fi media, but in this universe Demiflora have powers so its magical enough for me. The characters are very loveable and the world building is intricate and so cool bro aaaaa. This comic is great if you wanna see a healthy relationship dynamic but the characters still have their own trauma to confront :D

Genres: Manhwa, romance, thriller

Status: Finished

Platform: Webtoon

Summary: Chae-a Han and Yunsu Park may be perfect angels at church, but Chae-a is really a foul-mouthed ex-convict, and Yunsu is… a vampire? Personal Comments: Aaaaa!! My favorite webcomic to date! The main characters play cat and mouse with each other while their relationship is drawn out over course of the entire story. Every moment of affection is emotional (for the reader at least) and important to the plot. The side plot romance is EVERYTHING QWQ i cant say anymore. I cried over this webtoon so much I'm honestly surprised I can cry over any other piece of media. I love vampires. I love vampires in unhealthy relationships. And I love vampires who get happy endings (or maybe not? i'll never tell.)
