...and that's how I learned

I'm pretty content with my current profile (simple, neon colors, subtle funkiness in the background somewhere-- I'm not as fun as I used to be i guess), but that should never stop you from checking out the Layouts portion of this site.

That's how I got my start into this, after all. We'd check out what other people are doing, and emulate or modify the code. Pretty soon, I had in my backpocket my favorite styles, HEX code colors, and tricks with credit/notes.

And I'm amazed at how *easy* animating in CSS is now. BACK IN MY DAY WE HAD TO PIRATE PHOTOSHOP BOTH WAYS IN THE SNOW. Or I just never got on that bandwagon.

Some things I'm *really* loving seeing are

• variables
• :before and :after
• animations
• rounded corners (I remember when you could only do that with tiny image files!!)
• custom cursors
