Red: Living On The Edge and the use of colors as names (bad theory)

This probably won't make much sense since I'm kinda just dumping my thoughts. In the manga Red: Living On The Edge, some of the characters have names that are just colors, like the main character Red and another guy Gray. Though, one of the other main characters Ieroh, shortly goes by the name Mr. Yellow. This probably only applies to Red and Ieroh, but the color named they're given kinda odd considering their races. Red is Native American and we all know the term "redskin". Though, it's said he chose the name for himself because he was practically surrounded by red when the Calvary wiped out the rest of his tribe. As for Ieroh, in most racist depictions of Asians, they're yellow. Maybe this is just me thinking that the names actually have some kind of meaning other than the meanings they're giving in the manga. But race is something that plays a part in the story since Red and Ieroh are often discriminated against. I'm probably not the only one who thought the use of colors as names was a subtle way to talk about race since a guy who did a short video summary on the manga did make a small mention of it.
