10 extreme music albums that will make you feel something

another music related post. here are some albums that w1ll make you feel something

We Are Always Alone - Portrayal of Guilt

portrayal of guilt's 2021 release, "we are always alone", combines genres such as screamo, black metal and grindcore. it is one of the most emotionally brutal albums i have listened to, and one i can harmonically relate to.

Songs To Leave - Forgotten Tomb

songs to leave is probably one of the most iconic DSBM (Depressive Suicidal Black Metal) releases of all time, it is simply crushing how it can make you feel mundane in a way that is so engaging and yet disengaging. some may find solace in this sound.

Uphold The Majesty - Flaming Ouroboros

within black metal, there exists a subgenre titled "majestic black metal". majestic black metal is characterized by keeping the raw and ambient sound of more conventional black metal, but having all the melodies in either a major or just a general happy tone. flaming ouroboros is my favorite example of this phenomenon. this bittersweet tone is too unique not to be experienced. flaming ouroboros also enjoys sparkling in elements of screamo to their sound, which is why the next band i'm mentioning is:

Candles - Diablery

another majestic black metal outfit would be diablery, and i'm mentioning them as they are more conventionally "black metal" than flaming ouroboros. this album overall gives an earth shattering sense of crumbling pride and bittersweetness. it is 100% worth listening.

All My Love Returns To Me - Downside

downside are an extremely unique and underrated band. blending in elements of hardcore, punk and doom metal, this album -unlike some of the others ive mentioned- takes the emotion to an external upspoken level which really helps it stand out. it is the same anger and angst one may feel after crying.

Bucky. - Bucky.

"bucky." is a blackened screamo duet project (though it does make it a dis-service to describe it as just that) , which expresses agony and spite in what i can only credit as the most memorable display of emotion ever. the beginning of this album is forever stuck in my head and, while it may not be a pleasurable listening experience to some, i 100% recommend it.

Take Me Back To Eden - Sleep Token

we have really derailed this one, and i'm sure many of you are familiar with the UK metal outfit "sleep token". while their 2023 release is their most popular, it is not my favorite. however, it is possibly one of their most emotional and experimental albums. songs such as "are you really okay?" are absolute crushers and absolutely no metal elitist can make any argument against how good they are as musicians. this is the most accessible pick on here, and it is one anyone can enjoy.

2010-2012 - DOLLORES

skramz/emoviolence outfit dollores have managed to create one of the most unique music-based displays of emotion ever. tracks such as "Птицей уставшей", "something nothing" and "i'm coming home" are undeniably extremely creative and unique. DOLLORES is an absolute gem of a band that you will not be able to find a worthy replacement for.

Methylene Butterfly - Negative Thought Process

methylene butterfly is one of those albums that can punch you in the head, even with the silence of the track patiently loading. it is a brutal expression of anger with an incredibly unique sound and probably one of the heaviest albums on this list. negative thought process are easily one of a kind and part of the tops on my list.

everyone goes away eventually - blue noise

yet another blackened screamo project, this one sounds oddly nostalgic to me, in the best way possible. it is a great expression of anything you want it to be. loss, angst, anger, sadness, fear, panic. it's got it all, it is a ballad full of soul crushing tenderness and brutality.

"if you see this, thank you for reading. even more so if you've checked any of this out. i genuinely appreciate all the attention i can get with my silly blogs. chin up, it's all going to be okay."
