So I've been really deep in my thoughts lately and I was thinking about how maybe all the hurricanes happening is a sign that the world is close to it's end as punishment for what we've done to the earth. Milton is so dangerous that it's said no one will survive and people are required to write their names and date of birth AND the phone number of someone they can contact because no one is surviving. Also it's said that two plates are moving under the earth that'll cause a horrible earthquake that'd put most of California underwater. Is this a sign that our time has come or am I overthinking this?

Most of these natural disasters are the direct result of unchecked human activity. It's not some kind of punishment being handed down to humanity by a higher being or by the Earth, it's simply the end result of over a century of CO2-releasing energy production and methane-releasing cattle farming. These are real issues that can be solved if there is political will, not something inescapable and divine.
Well I was thinking it's punishment because there is no will in most of humanity and it's a wake up call
