Down time

It's time to unwind. Laying on the couch and sipping some pinot noir, my favorite. It's utterly silent with just the hum of the fridge and the sound of my dog licking her paws. It's been a pretty boring day. I even managed to squeeze in a nap in between doing nothing and doing nothing. It was perfect.

One of my dogs has a seasonal stomach issue, which is completely random. Her GI tract just gets aggravated during the change of the seasons. It's just odd. However, it's truly painful to her and it's probably more so now that she's 15 and doesn't bounce back as quickly as she used to. Needless to say she's been miserable and unable to eat. Eating is her favorite thing in this world, so it's a pretty big deal that she hasn't been able to eat all day. I worry so much for her.

She didn't want the plain rice that I made her, which is ideal for her condition. No food at all is best because her GI needs to repair, so it doesn't need to be active. However, I crushed up a few pieces of kibble and added a bit of water and she ate that. She's able to nap now that her food anxiety has settled. Hopefully she'll make a full recovery by tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I really wanted to get some popcorn and watch the live action Cowboy Bebop, but it's getting kinda late. I truly loved that show back in the day. I know it's not going to be the same, obviously. I think so many people have too many expectations when live action anime films/shows are done. I'm the type of person who believes that nothing will be better than the original. The only thing that really changes is the technology. Things will look sharper, brighter, CGI...  In a way, the new stuff may look better, but it will never capture the authenticity of the original. I stand by that.

And don't get me started on the remakes of films and shows that are originally from Asia or UK, for example. You will never make Train to Busan better because it won't be Train to Busan. It'll be Train to New York or some shit and that's going to be awful. Dear Hollywood, stop doing that shit. You're just embarrassing yourselves.

Okay, I think I'm done venting about Hollywood and their lack of creativity. Think I'll scroll through Twitter while I finish my wine.
