Getting out of the core world, we've got something new. So far i've only listened to this song only twice but i'm already obsessed with it... It's stuck in my head. This is how this usually goes, so. this week's song of the week is angel beats! by sennoh. Honorable mentions for this week's spot: constant headache by joyce manor, Two girls one chainsaw (Intro) by In Which Divides Us (as well as diego's outro), and zoology by kingfun. Who knows, maybe those songs will come out on top in future weeks, who's to know. Anyways. Been veering into math rock territory lately as well as prog metal with leprous (they're literally tesseract but not the same band??? like??? hello???). Been exploring quite a bit but I keep coming back to those few songs.

Math rock is awesome. I got really into it in high school and it's what lead me down a long road of alt music.
My favorite album of all time is Spiderland by Slint. It is considered the progenitor of math rock. It's embed on my profile if you want to check it out.
Another good proto-math rock album is Analphabetology by Cap'n Jazz.
If you listen to either lmk what you think!

oh ok, word!
I forget the name too all the time. That's funny though. I'd consider it a deeper cut than Spiderland!
Some of the Cap'n Jazz members went on to form Joan of Arc; I just got into them recently and they've got some good stuff!
