Here's a one-and-done, take-it-and-leave-it, quickie.
1.Trix ‘O’ Treat- R.I.P (2014, Rock In Hell Records)
There isn’t much of note in Thai psychobilly to my knowledge, but Trix ’O’ Treat is emblematic of Thai psychobilly style! I never use exclamation points, but I DIG this band a whole lot. The semi-scratchy female vocals are a great foreground to the Reverend Horton Heat-style concoction they’ve got going on in the instrumentation. I swear the frontwoman of this band is psychobilly Misaki Aono (lead woman of The Biscats… a band I’ll gush over later): the way her style oozes out of just clothes and into her personality and performance, especially visible on street lives. This band is idol-quality psychobilly that rocks. That’s it.
