Upcoming Interview

Well, I was supposed to be interviewed yesterday at the radio station. Turns out the local newspaper really likes my show and one of the guys there interacts with most of my Facebook posts which is pretty cool. I'm slightly concerned because they said they specifically wanted to interview me and not my new boss that was just recently hired. I feel it would make more sense to interview him instead since he's the new hire and could write a press release about it like a standard station. Instead, they want me.

Another reason I find it weird and concerning is because there's a chance they could ask about what happened in May. There's a lot of context here which I will gladly provide.

  • The radio station I work at is a college radio station from where I recently graduated.
  • For the last five months I was the only employee here, meaning if I left they would shut down the station.
  • Also in May, the university's president said he's cutting every arts program at the school which is bullshit on many levels.
  • Anyways I wrote like a three page letter and read it at a forum to him which really pissed him off and students and faculty loved it.
  • It got mentioned in the news and whatnot, it felt weird.
  • Now upper administration don't like me too much, including the university president who's known me by name now and has taken weird jabs at me when we speak in person.
Anyways, I've said all my peace with that, and I'm not too keen for it to be brought up again. If it is brought up, fine, but it's not what I want to talk about. Not only that, I'm surprised the university communications department is cool with me talking to reporters again, but I'm not here to stir the pot this time around again. They also never trained me for press releases so this will be so funnnnnn... Time to be in the news again.
