This book truly made me think - This Animal Body by Meredith Walters

⚠ I will try to keep spoilers to a minimum ⚠ These are all my opinions and views ;p

This Animal Body is literally such a wonderful book. You follow main character, Frankie, through a whole ride of discovering more about her past, her dreams of chitchatting up her animal pals (why were these so comforting to read though??) and a tough decision between betraying the animals she's fallen in love with - or giving up her dream of neuroscience.

The book delves into a lot of self-discoveries and big decisions having to be made. As someone who themselves have struggled, and still struggle to this day, with discovering who I'm meant to be, this book really hit the spot. It has so many wonderful and thought-provoking scenes with Frankie and her friends, doing these experiments together. It has honestly made me want to get into neuroscience, though I know I'll never have that amount of brain to ever get into that lol. The characters in the book are so loveable. They all feel very unique and special in Frankie's story and her journey through finding out who she is meant to be and the decisions she's meant to make.

I personally LOVE the twist with animals in it, I'm such an animal nerd and the spirituality mentioned in this book fuels me, I love it so much. I'm someone who's very interested in spirituality and learning more about the world and the creatures living on the same plane as us.

This book has really made me want to further discover my own beliefs of the world and the own sensations in my body. It's hard to really capture this feeling with words, you really just have to read it yourself; especially if you're in a spot in your life where you really need to learn more about yourself and your space in this world, we all live in.

This is 100% one of the best books I've read. I honestly cannot really pinpoint many places where I think "?? okay but this doesn't make sense". It has some thriller catching moments and lots of mystery with Frankie and her past; and also, who she's meant to be. I don't think these small here and there things are enough to impact my own view on this book, so I'm definitely giving it a 5/5!

I usually don't write book reviews, so I'm very sorry if I'm missing out on something. Please feel free to ask any questions if you have any ( ̄︶ ̄)

Have a wonderful day and please let me know what you think of this book!
