I've been trying my best to stay off my phone. Today's day three. I haven't done too well today. My screen time is 4hrs . To try and stay off my phone I just don't bring it outside of the house and draw alot.
Ive also been watching more dvds.
I know watching dvds isn't good for bringing my screen down time but i think it's a bit better. It means I'm focusing my attention on the one movie rather than scrolling, scrolling and flipping through apps. It also means I can draw and listen to it.
I bought some new dvds from charity shops. The two movies are Little Britain ( S1 ), Diary of a Wimpy Kid ( All movies in 1 ) and.. Alpha and Omega. Yes I know, cringe!! But I don't care, if it has wolves I'm buying it🐺. I'm keeping my eyes out for Come Fly With Me and maybe a Halloween movie 🎃 I really like dvds. Unlike netflix, you get you keep your film or series forever. Unless the disc breaks. Plus they are so cheap in charity shops it's great
I'm planning to start writing in my diary more often and journal my day out. I like to plan out my day hour by hour so I might do this in my journal instead
Today's been a bit stressful. I don't want to get into the details why but I have a rough road ahead. I will be okay though
. I think stress is also linked to my screen time. I normally use it more when I'm needing distraction
When I say I've been replacing my phone time with drawing, I ain't kidding! It's addictive!! Ive tried to sit down and draw a few times last month but I just struggle to get my creativity flowing. Not recently though!
Also getting into the groove of not using my phone is making my attention when studying so much better. I need to write an essay and coming up with ideas and things to write is becoming alot easier. If you're planning on trying to quit or reduce your phone time then try it!
My goal is to use my phone for like 1hr or less a day.
